Roanoke EnVision Center
The Roanoke EnVision Center is managed by the Roanoke Redevelopment & Housing Authority, in collaboration with assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and it offers its services to everyone in the Roanoke Valley. It is located at 2607 Salem Turnpike, in a recently restored structure that previously served as the enduring location of the Melrose Branch Library. Here are some of the free resources offered:
– Employment help
– On-site counseling & mental wellness in a private office
– Connection with Virginia Western classes & trainings
– Financial workshops
– 100% organic garden
– Youth art classes
– A computer lab for educational, employment, and housing relating activities
– Computer classes
– And much more!
Our community partners based at the Center include Virginia Western, Carilion Clinic, The Harvest Collective and Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, HumanKind, Family Service of Roanoke Valley, and the Roanoke Financial Empowerment Center.
The center is free and open to the public as well as to RRHA residents. The center is open 9 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.
