The Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) is releasing information regarding the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Shortfall status
Due to budget constraints, RRHA’s HCV program will not release any new vouchers for the foreseeable future and until HUD allocates additional funding to our program. During this time, RRHA will not make any HCV waitlist selections or issue any HCV vouchers. The HCV waitlist will remain closed until the budget allows for new vouchers to be released. This closure includes households that would qualify for waitlist entry via any preference.
The Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority website should be your first step in obtaining new information regarding the shortfall.
Notification will be made to all applicants and community partners once our HCV program waiting lists reopen and we are able to issue vouchers.
NOTE: RRHA will continue to provide rental assistance on behalf of all current HCV participants as your program participation is not impacted by shortfall. Your current housing assistance payments will continue, and your voucher is not in jeopardy. We appreciate your partnership and ongoing commitment to RRHA’s HCV Program, we are committed to the sustainability of affordable housing, and we look forward to continue servicing our communities in the near future.
Sincerely,
RRHA Management Team
