EnVision Center Temporarily Relocates to Previous JobsPlus Location

Since January 2020, the Roanoke EnVision Center has been serving residents and the community at the Villages at Lincoln. As of January 2021, the EnVision Center moved to the former Jobs Plus Center at the City of Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s main office on Salem Turnpike.

This location will continue to provide services to low-income families while preparing for the final move across the street to the former Melrose Library building. RRHA is beginning renovations to the building this year. EnVision Centers are a one-stop hub for people to access multiple services, support, and resources at once while on the path to self-sufficiency.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development designated Roanoke as an EnVision Center site in November 2019. The Roanoke EnVision Center currently offers career counseling, resume development, education, training resources, community, and individual health needs. Services are open to the public and not just to residents of the housing authority.

Some community partners of the EnVision Center include Virginia Career Works-Blue Ridge Region, Commonwealth Catholic Charities, VWCC School of Career Training, and Carilion Clinic Community Health Workers.
