On Friday, about 80 Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority residents and staff got their booster vaccine and/or flu shot thanks to Michael’s Pharmacy.
Residents were lined up outside the doors at Melrose Towers and Morningside Manor, some waiting half an hour to ensure they did not miss the chance to get vaccinated. Many provided wanting to stay healthy as the primary reason for getting vaccinated.
“I’m getting vaccinated so I can be healthy and stay healthy for my grandkids,” resident, Crystal Henderson, said.
RRHA has more opportunities to get the vaccine throughout the next month. The VDH will be hosting Pfizer clinics at our other six neighborhoods from 4:00pm-6:00pm on the following dates
