Choice Neighborhoods

 

In October 2012, RRHA was awarded a Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  

Using this grant, RRHA worked with residents and other community stakeholders to create a Transformation Plan for Loudon-Melrose/Shenandoah West.

We held our first Choice Neighborhoods Community Meeting on January 16, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Goodwill.  A follow-up event was held on April 15, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Goodwill, to provide an opportunity for community feedback on preliminary design concepts developed based on community input and needs assessment.  Thank you to everyone who came to these events to tell us what your vision is for your neighborhood!

Residents and business owners in the Loudon-Melrose and Shenandoah West neighborhoods participated in a Choice Neighborhoods Community Meeting on July 24, 2014.
